Dr Mariana Jooste is the Postharvest Programme Manager at Hortgro Science and a Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University. With more than 30 years of experience in the deciduous fruit industry, she specializes in postharvest fruit physiology, quality management, and industry-focused research on pome and stone fruit. She is actively involved in research coordination, technology transfer, and postgraduate supervision.
